Shannon has spent her career building a more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive city.

An alum of both Kings and Dal, Shannon is the Director of Environment & Climate Change for the city of Halifax, where she championed the creation and implementation of HalifACT, our city’s award-winning climate action plan. But her work is about more than climate – it’s about the people in our community. She’s focused on jobs, safety, economic development, equity, and building strong relationships in all sectors, locally and across Canada.

Shannon has spent 15 years listening to and working with Halifax residents. Now, she’s ready to bring our voices to Ottawa to make life more affordable, build stronger public health care, take bold climate action, and protect jobs and our economy from Donald Trump.

Shannon and her husband have three wonderful kids.
